Lady Pink "Graffiti Artist"

Lady Pink was born in Sandra Fabara, Ambato, Ecuador, 1964. Came to the states and grue up in  Queens, New York. One of Americas biggest graffiti writing city's. Lady pink could have seen the men around her abuse and/or put down the women in her life, this could be a big reason why in a most of her paintings she looks to empower women.

Lady pink started doing graffiti in 1979, and soon was well known as the only female graffiti capable of competing with men in the graffiti subculture. The first subway car she bombed was at age 16 and did it to prove to the boy's she was for real, and after that she became hooked.

Her artistic ability progressed rapidly, gaining her respect and admiration from within the graffiti community. To some she is considered a cult figure in the Graffiti culture. Manly for her unique and rather feminine art piece's that seem to captor the beauty and imagination of New York women. As a leading participant in the rise of graffiti-based art, Lady Pink's canvases have entered important art collections such as those of the Whitney Museum, the MET in New York City, the Brooklyn Museum and the Groningen Museum of Holland.  Lady Pink's paintings are highly prized by collectors.

Lady Pink now runs her own mural paintings company with her husband Smith, creating massive works around New York City, this is one of the few professional teams to originate from the graffiti subculture. Lady pink has been a inspiration and role model to young females all over the world.
--“I try to show younger artists that with enough passion you can achieve great things.” Lady PINK

Graffiti.. Art??

One might think that graffiti isn't art but rather that anowing stuff you see at bus stops and on bath room meirs. But have u ever thought about why its their or what it might mean, then u probably haven't ever looked at it throw the eyes of the graffiti artist eyes!! That Bomb on the side of the building u drive past is the artist way of saying I'm here and this is who i am. And it awesome that everyone has their own unique style and shape to it, its like a finger print every one's is a little different. It's their way of expressing there self's. I find it really cool how they terned something so dull and Blane into some thing desirable to look at!! Like train cars... for them is like a Mobile art gallery that's free for everyone to look and admire. Funny how , what we think is a pest to art city's actually liven things up and give it some pazzaz..

the matrix

Funny I've never realized that the movie "The Matrix" had so Meany hidden messages to it. For example how everyone that's still hooked up to the matrix are in a sense a sleep, and then neo at the end is finally awaken with this realization of what the matrix is.
